Chris Rayburn: Looking back at the last 17 years and all that we have accomplished and all of the people we have impacted, clients that we have helped, it's really humbling. I could have never expected that it would be what it is today and that we would be reaching as many churches as we are today. Tyson Wiens: By putting our name on something as Summit, we are also partnering with the church and putting their name on it. At the end of the day, God's name is on it and I really can't think of anything more deserving of excellence than that. Nick Kofahl: I believe truthfully that each community has a sound. I believe that each community has a heart. Our job is to make sure that we have eliminated all obstacles and to make sure that that sound is actually heard. Chris Rayburn: So originally I was the guy designing systems, installing systems, pulling wire, driving the truck, loading the trailer. Then eventually got a few people on board and I didn't have to do all the installs myself. By 2008, we were able to focus exclusively on churches. Tyson Wiens: I was passionate about working in the audio, video, and lighting field. I love technology, I love working with people. I really have found my fit here at Summit. Nick Kofahl: I get to have conversations with pastors and worship pastors and tech pastors. To begin to hear the heart, vision, the passion that they carry for their community and to figure out how we, as Summit, can partner with that heart, vision and passion and to make that a reality. Chris Rayburn: I love working with the volunteers. I love training people, love solving problems, helping the church find solutions. It really is as much about problem solving as anything else. Getting to know people helps us figure that out. Tyson Wiens: We really go into everything with the mindset of what's going to serve the customer best. It's really how we want everything to relay back in what we do in a project. We really want to get into the church's shoes, understand how they do production, how they do ministry, so we can better serve their needs. Chris Rayburn: It's what I'm passionate about. It's getting to know people and seeing how we can help them, how we can partner with them, how we can be an extension of their team. Nick Kofahl: We care very deeply about the communities that we work with. We get to amplify literally and figuratively the sound of God in their community. For us, it's not about a business transaction. Chris Rayburn: A lot of people focus on the price, or they focus on the mark up, or they focus on the product, but the real value comes in figuring out what's needed and figuring out what's not. Tyson Wiens: A passion of mine is to really cut through a lot of the noise that's out there. I want to challenge our teams to cut through that noise and do the simple things well. Everybody we talk to wants to do new things, wants to try something different. So I really wanted to challenge our design and install teams to think ahead, think of what these guys could do, what do they want to do in the future, and how can we make that possible for them. Chris Rayburn: This year we will be working with over 35 different churches. Nick Kofahl: 90% of the work that we do is outside the state of Colorado. We're prepared to handle whatever needs arise. We have the ability to support you day-in and day-out. Tyson Wiens: We feel what really sets us apart is the excellence in the details, making sure that is done well in our design, in our installation, in our training, in order to create the best possible product for the customer because that is really what they deserve. Chris Rayburn: I never really imagined it was going to quite grow to this level. I just set out to do good work. We do it with excellence. We try to serve the churches well. Nick Kofahl: You know what some people call customer service, we just call relationship. We figure out new ways to be creative and innovative, and to translate that not into just a sale or just some really cool technology, but to be able to help them reach a community in ways they never thought possible. That's why we do what we do. Chris Rayburn: As I look at the future of Summit, I am excited to partner with even more churches, to impact more lives in our own way, and to keep doing what I truly feel we were called to do.
