|Name||Milestone Church - Launch Video|
|Description||a Summit Integrated Systems video|
Here's one of the big, big things we learned. There's a big, big difference between trying to impress people and wanting people to feel something. Blake Campbell: Our goal is to create moments where people can encounter God, and to do whatever we can to remove barriers. Things that stand in the way of people connecting to Jesus and taking a step toward Him. Pat Brown: I remember visiting once. Milestone was this small, tiny little church building. I remember thinking you know there's such a great spirit. There's such a great heart. There's an authenticity behind these weekend experiences. Blake: Our church has grown a lot in size, but we have the same heart. We've always been about reaching people and building lives. Pat: There's been an evolution in Milestone. We began to get more and more comfortable in our own skin. There was a new freedom when we tried to stop impressing people. So we got down to like, "Okay, what is us?" And this authentic expression of worship was us. Right? Chris Johns: Yeah, and that really affects how we put on services. So everything in production from lighting to audio to the videos that we put on screen... that really communicates to our people, "These people are real, they're genuine. They really care about us. They really love us." Even in those small decisions communicates who we are. Blake: Along the way, I've lead in a tiny, little leased building, and now here we are in this home for us. We just finished our first weekend service, and being a worship leader and being on stage... you know we have a little bit of a unique perspective. Looking out from the platform this weekend I just was thinking about, and kind of dreaming about, all the things that we can do. And all the people that we can reach now that we have a fitting space with some of the right tools that can actually help people connect with God. Pat: We're not trying to impress people, but all of us are into excellence. And we're into quality. I feel like that's the way we serve people. Chris: So I think that's one of the main things that we're really looking forward to. It's a-whole-nother level of quality. The excellence factor goes up, and when that goes up our team unifies better. When we're unified, people experience something different. Pat: One of the things that we intentionally fought for when we moved into this building. And it's because you have a new, awesome worship center doesn't mean you change your DNA. It's like "Hang on, what is Milestone?" Chris: We try to create atmospheres where people come to meet Jesus. Where they walk in the doors one way and they leave a different way. One thing we pray every single weekend is that when people come into this room that the technology just disappears. They look through the audio, they look thought the lights and videos, and everything else and they just get a glimpse of who Jesus is. Blake: We're just pumped about the future, and we have so much vision for where we're going. We're looking forward to seeing more lives changed, and more people engage with God, and encounter Jesus.
